The space
This furnished 3BR/2BA sits right on 3rd & A, literally across the street from UC Davis. You can't get closer to campus than this. That means you're not burning twenty minutes in the car or hunting for parking near class, you're just... there.
The building itself is a real mixed use setup, not some converted office trying to pass as an apartment. Ground floor's got a boba shop and some offices. Your floor, the second floor, has two more units plus more office space. Third floor above you has two more apartments. It's basically its own little neighborhood stacked in one building, work, live, grab a boba, all without walking more than a block.
Now the kitchen, this is the part I'm actually proud of. It's not one of those "furnished" kitchens where you show up and there's a single pan and a spoon. This thing is stocked and ready to actually cook in. GE gas range that heats fast and even, so you're not standing there waiting for it to catch up to you. Real German knives, ceramic nonstick cookware that actually cleans up easy instead of fighting you every time. Stone flatware, stonewashed silverware, linen placemats, the table just looks good the second you sit down, you don't have to do anything to it. It's even got butterfly leaves that fold out or tuck away depending on how many people are eating, so it just adjusts to whatever's going on that night. And for coffee, we put in both a glass pour over dripper and a Mueller french press, because some mornings you want one and some mornings you want the other, and honestly you shouldn't have to think that hard before coffee.
Bedrooms, three of them, two full baths, plenty of room for everyone to have their own corner. King in room one, queens in two and three, works great for a family or for roommates splitting the stay. Every bed's got European linen sheets on it, and once you sleep on those you kind of get why people make a big deal out of it, they breathe, you're not waking up sweaty at 3am. Each room's got its own heat and AC too, so nobody's fighting over the thermostat, everyone just sets what they want. Blackout shades in every room, cordless, so you decide when your morning starts, not the sun. Primary bedroom's got a little bay window nook with an armchair and a coffee table, genuinely a nice spot to just sit with a book or knock out some work, and a smart TV that shows art when it's off instead of just being a black rectangle staring at you. The other two bigger bedrooms have brass sconces on dimmers, so you can go bright when you need it or dim it down when you don't, and we placed mirrors to bounce that light around the room, little touch but it makes a difference.
Bathrooms, one's a Jack and Jill between rooms one and two, and there's a third full bath in the hallway so nobody's ever standing around waiting their turn in the morning. Heated seat bidets in both, which sounds like overkill until you use one. Showers are floor to ceiling dark green Moroccan zellige tile with a brass rainhead up top, it feels like an actual spa moment and not just a rinse off. All natural shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, smells like the Mediterranean, and waffle towels that dry you off right, kind of an onsen feel to the whole thing. Washer and dryer's in the hallway too so you're not hauling laundry anywhere or overpacking your bag.
We didn't skip the small stuff either. Shoe rack by the door, a coat stand and umbrella holder so you can shake off the outside world the second you walk in. Brass, walnut, dark wood, marble, travertine, it's all tied together so nothing feels random or thrown in. Even the bath stone and dish rack are diatomaceous earth so wet stuff just dries on its own, one less thing sitting around damp.
Walk out the door and you've got restaurants all around, so eating out isn't some whole planning event. And out back there's covered carports, so you're not doing the nightly loop around the block hoping for street parking like everyone else in this town.
This isn't just a furnished place we threw some furniture in. Every piece of it was picked on purpose. Wherever you're coming from and however long you're staying, we just wanted it to feel easy.
