Yes! Listing your property is completely free. We only earn when you do—after your home is successfully booked and occupied by a vetted corporate or insurance guest.
No. CRUHomes is exclusively for fully furnished homes that are used as dedicated investment properties, not personal residences.
Please do not submit personal homes or unfurnished listings, as they do not meet the standards required for corporate and insurance housing.
You choose your desired monthly rate and, once a guest is confirmed, we sublease the property and pay you via ACH every month—on time and at the agreed rate.
We work with trusted relocation companies like ALE Solutions, CRS Temporary Housing, and Sedgwick. Guests are typically families displaced by home disasters, traveling professionals, or corporate clients needing temporary housing.
Why is a Hestia Inspection required?
To ensure every guest enjoys a top-tier experience, all homes listed on CRUHomes must pass the Hestia Quality Assurance Inspection before being matched with a corporate or insurance booking.
The inspection takes place only when your home is fully guest-ready—furnished, cleaned, and fully stocked.
🔹Inspection fee: $500 flat rate
🔹Re-inspections (if needed): $500 additional fee
We’re here to help you succeed. Before inspection day, you’ll receive a detailed checklist, photo examples, and guidance so you know exactly what’s expected.
Our goal is for every host to pass the first time. But ultimately, it’s your responsibility to ensure the home meets Hestia standards and is truly move-in ready.

Yes, our guests expect a fully furnished, move-in ready home. This includes basic cookware, linens, high-speed internet, and a professional level of cleanliness and upkeep. We provide a checklist to guide you. Check out our guide: www.cruhomes.com/hestia-certification
No problem. CRUHomes is non-exclusive—you can stay on other platforms. We just ask that your calendar is accurate so we can make real-time matches without conflicts.
Most stays range from 30 to 180 days, depending on the client’s needs. Longer stays mean less turnover and more predictable income for you.
We require lease agreements for all guests, and in most cases, the booking is backed by corporate insurance. We also offer optional damage protection for added peace of mind.
We are building a national network of quality homes, but demand is strongest in metro areas and suburbs near hospitals, business districts, or disaster-prone regions.
Just create your free listing, complete the home profile, and we’ll reach out when there's a potential match. Once certified, you’ll be eligible for corporate and insurance bookings.
When you create a listing you submit your property directly into our database. Which is how our system will find your property based on proximity to the request we get. Without a listing on our website, we are unable to propose your property using the information you provide to us.
We operate on a simple model: we lease the home from you at the rate you request, and then sublease it to our corporate and insurance partners. Unlike traditional property managers, we don’t charge any commissions or fees—we pay you exactly what we agree upon, every month, via ACH.
Some homeowners ask how much we make on top of the rent. Because each corporate contract is negotiated differently and tailored to the client’s needs, our pricing formulas are proprietary. Our priority is to ensure your home is competitively positioned for long-stay bookings while you enjoy predictable income with no extra effort.
We handle all guest communication from start to finish—including booking, check-in, questions during the stay, and check-out. You won’t need to communicate directly with the guest.
If any issues arise during the lease, the guest will contact us, and we’ll reach out to you only when on-site support is needed. Think of us as the main point of contact, and you as our local support partner.
Because your property has passed our quality assurance inspection, most common issues are already prevented. In the rare case something unexpected comes up, we’ll coordinate with you for any ad hoc support.
Why We Recommend a Lower Security Deposit ($1,500–$2,000)
We understand that as a homeowner, you want to protect your property—so do we. However, in the world of insurance-funded housing, a lower security deposit is often the most practical and compassionate approach.
Here’s why:
Most guests are going through an unplanned crisis. Their homes may have been damaged by fire, flood, or another emergency. Many have already spent significant savings on contractors, repairs, and temporary costs.
These guests are homeowners themselves. They’re not partygoers or vacationers—they have a permanent residence and are typically focused on getting their lives back on track. In most cases, funds for their stay are backed by a corporate or insurance guarantee.
The deposit isn’t your only protection. While $1,500–$2,000 is enough to ensure the guest has some financial responsibility ("skin in the game"), we also provide an added layer of protection through:
Our own business has liability coverage
We do Guest screening and a quality assurance inspection before the guest moves in.
Our goal is to help you feel confident saying “yes” to a booking—knowing that we’ve covered the gaps and helped make a difficult time a little easier for someone else.Waivo affiliate link: https://waivo.referralrock.com/l/1VIVIANYIP49/
You can set this as a flat fee per month, and we auto price at 2x the cleaning fee to cover the cost of a professional deep cleaning after a guest checks out . Some examples:
Studios / 1 Bed: $120- 180
2–3 Bedrooms: $200-250
4+ Bedrooms: $300+
Price based on the size of the home and cleaning market rates in your area.
Yes. To help maintain your home in excellent condition, monthly cleanings are mandatory and built into the guest's rate—along with a move-out deep cleaning fee.
You can either arrange the cleanings yourself or let our team coordinate them directly with the guest, depending on your preference.
Our shared goal is to keep your home clean, cared for, and ready for a smooth turnover when the stay ends.
A common guideline is to set a utility cap of around $200 for a 2-bedroom home and $350 for a 3- or 4-bedroom home. However, the ideal cap really depends on the size of your property and local utility rates. To determine a reasonable amount, review your past utility bills for electricity, gas, and water—these are your variable utilities and are the ones most impacted by guest usage.
A cap is designed to discourage excessive consumption, such as leaving the AC on full blast or taking very long showers. Regional climate will also affect what’s considered reasonable.
Fixed-cost utilities like internet, lawn care, and pest control typically aren’t capped, since they remain stable regardless of usage.
When setting your rental price, start by researching what your property would rent for on a long-term basis. A common pricing strategy is to apply a 1.5x to 2x multiplier to that rate to account for furnishings, utilities, flexibility, and convenience. Tools like Rentometer can help you estimate long-term rental values in your area.
Keep in mind: utilities should be included in your rental price. Additional charges—such as pet fees or refundable security deposits—can be added separately.
Our corporate and insurance housing partners are sensitive to fair market pricing and avoid price gouging, so it’s important to price competitively. We’ll always confirm the rate with you before finalizing any booking—nothing is locked in without your approval.
Knowing your actual costs helps you price with confidence, ensuring your rental remains attractive while still profitable.
All guests are responsible for any damage caused—whether by pets, children, or accidents. At CRUHomes, we vet every guest to minimize risk, and pet-related damages are typically covered by security deposits or insurance claims when applicable.
We strongly recommend adding an additional layer of protection by enrolling in damage protection insurance through Waivo. This helps cover unexpected issues without relying solely on guest deposits.

Allowing pets can help your property stand out and attract more bookings. Pet-friendly homes are in high demand, especially among traveling professionals and families relocating. These guests often book longer stays and are willing to pay higher rates, pet fees, or deposits. You remain in control by setting pet-related rules, limits, and fees, while enjoying the benefits of higher occupancy, better guest relationships, and increased income potential.
It’s important to understand that CRUHomes works with insurance relocation companies who support policyholders facing unexpected property losses, we can’t predict exactly when or where a housing need will arise. However, when a request occurs and your property is a good match for a policyholder’s requirements, a member of our team will reach out to you via phone, text or email to confirm availability and discuss next steps.
